"Remembering the Dream, where do we go from here"

On August 28th, BelleMoon Productions LLC. in partnership with selected grassroots organizations all across the country will commemorate Dr. King’s famous "I have a dream" speech, through a nation-wide simultaneous event entitled "Remembering the Dream, where do we go from here". The event "Remembering the Dream" will feature panel discussions around the themes of Dr. King’s speech (racial, ethnic, religious tolerance, social, economic and environmental injustice, fighting poverty and hunger etc…) as well as the exclusive screening of "Closer the Dream".

In the four and a half decades since Dr. King’s famous speech, there has never been a time in our nation’s history where the dream has had as much resonance as this year. The purpose of the event is to remind individuals that although part of Dr. King’s dream has been manifested, there is still more work to accomplish. Organizations will use this opportune and symbolic moment to encourage their members to continue to strive for Dr. King’s ideals of a just nation. They will use the event to spark interest and raise awareness about their causes and the ideals they stand for.

We are targeting 200 organizations across the country but if we get more offers, we will not turn away anyone. Roughly 20,000 people will participate in this event. The participants will vary in age group, ethnic, racial and social make up. Dr. King’s dream was not just for a specific segment of the American population, it was for all Americans.
